Focused on frontend development within a fast-paced edtech environment, operating at the intersection of education and AI. Helped build scalable, user-centric interfaces and infrastructure for a platform making academic research more accessible — including a Next.js migration with a perfect Lighthouse score, ingestion of 43M+ academic papers via Apache Spark, an AI summarization tool on AWS SageMaker, gRPC services in GoLang, and a Flutter app built solo.
Led the Magento 1 → Magento 2 migration, then the architectural transition to a custom React + Next.js frontend. Engineered a custom React checkout to reduce friction, shipped a hybrid mobile app with PhoneGap, and integrated Braze and Dynamic Yield for personalized, data-driven customer journeys.
Built a common Magento 2 module stack (layered navigation, newsletter popup, slider modules) across client projects including camerahouse.com.au, shop.dilmahtea.com and coffeeparts.com.au.
Started out on rapidly changing short-term projects doing UI development with Yii and CodeIgniter, practicing agile development from day one.
